Oracle 26ai Advanced Training — 90 Hours Live, 15 Modules, Starting 8 August 2026

Oracle AI Database 26ai is the first Oracle release with AI-native capability built into the database engine itself — AI Vector Search, in-database embedding models, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), JSON Relational Duality, True Cache and SQL Firewall are engine features now, not bolt-ons. Enterprises adopting 26ai will run production systems where a vector index sits in the same database as the general ledger, and they need DBAs who can administer those features while still owning the fundamentals that keep a business alive: backup, recovery and high availability.

That combination is scarce. A DBA who can patch a RAC cluster and explain how the optimizer treats a vector index is a different hire from one whose skills stop at 19c — and as 19c workloads migrate, the second group is competing for shrinking work. The AutoUpgrade path from 19c to 26ai is well documented, but running what you land on is the part that takes training.

Our Oracle 26ai Advanced Training was built for exactly this gap: 90 hours of live, instructor-led sessions covering the full DBA stack on 26ai, from Linux and architecture through RMAN, Data Guard, RAC and performance tuning to the AI-native features themselves. The next batch starts on . The 54-second overview:

Watch: the batch launch in 54 seconds — 90 hours live, 45 sessions, 15 modules, starting 8 August 2026. All details are also written out below.

What the 90 hours actually covers

The course runs 90 hours across 45 live interactive sessions — roughly 4 months of weekend classes. Every module is hands-on: you build, break and recover on a real 26ai environment, not slides.

The structure is deliberate. Modules 1–7 build the foundation: Linux, 26ai architecture, installation, CDB and PDB administration, instance management and the storage structures everything else depends on. Modules 8–15 are the production core — ten hours of RMAN and Data Pump, eight of Data Guard, sixteen of RAC, plus dedicated tracks for patching and upgrade, performance tuning, GoldenGate and Enterprise Manager.

The AI-native module

Module 13 is the reason this course says 26ai and not 19c. It covers AI Vector Search — vector datatypes, vector indexes and similarity queries running inside the database — and the in-database embedding models that generate those vectors without shipping data to an external service. On top of that sit RAG applications: retrieval pipelines that ground a language model's answers in your own tables, built with the database doing the retrieval.

Why does this matter to a working DBA? Because every one of those features becomes an administration problem the day it reaches production. A vector index has storage, memory and rebuild characteristics you will be asked about. JSON Relational Duality changes how developers hand you schemas — one table serving both relational and document workloads. True Cache is an infrastructure component you will size and monitor. SQL Firewall is a security layer you will configure and audit. The module teaches them as DBA topics — how they behave, what breaks, what to check — not as developer demos.

Who this is for

Beginners

No prior Oracle experience is required — the course starts at Linux administration and Oracle architecture and builds up from there. What you do need is the willingness to practise in the lab between sessions.

Working DBAs on 11g, 12c or 19c

The fundamentals you know still count; what changes is the platform around them. The course covers the 19c-to-26ai AutoUpgrade path directly, and modules 8–12 (RMAN, Data Guard, patching, RAC, tuning) are taught on 26ai so your existing depth transfers to the release your employer is migrating to.

Developers and data engineers

If you are adding Vector Search and RAG to applications backed by Oracle, the AI-native module plus the architecture and performance material gives you what the database is actually doing underneath your code.
