What this course covers

Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) lets one database run across several servers at once, sharing a single set of storage. It is how organisations keep their most critical Oracle systems highly available and scalable — if one node fails, the database keeps serving from the others. RAC is also one of the highest-value, hardest-to-find skills on a DBA's resume, because it sits where clustering, storage, networking and the database all meet at the same time.

This recorded course walks you through RAC end to end at your own pace. You'll follow our senior Oracle DBA instructors as they explain the architecture and cache fusion, install Grid Infrastructure and configure ASM, deploy a genuine two-node RAC, manage instances and services, add and remove a node, and patch and troubleshoot the cluster. Every lesson streams in HD inside your secure student portal — pause, rewind and rewatch as often as you like, for life.

RAC is where so many DBAs get stuck — the install fails on a prerequisite, the interconnect won't come up, or a node evicts and nobody knows why. This course works through exactly those situations on a real cluster, so the skill actually sticks.

What you'll learn

  • Explain RAC architecture and how cache fusion moves blocks between nodes
  • Install and configure Grid Infrastructure and ASM
  • Meet RAC install prerequisites — storage, networking, SCAN and VIP
  • Deploy and validate a working two-node RAC
  • Configure SCAN listeners, VIPs and cluster-managed services
  • Manage instances and nodes with srvctl and crsctl
  • Add and remove a node from a live cluster
  • Patch RAC with opatchauto and run a rolling upgrade
  • Back up a clustered database with RMAN
  • Diagnose node evictions, interconnect and global cache issues

Who it's for

This course is for working Oracle DBAs who want to move from single-instance administration into high availability and clustering — the skill that separates senior DBAs from the rest. You'll get the most from it if you're already comfortable with core Oracle administration (instances, storage, redo, RMAN). No prior RAC experience is required; the course starts from architecture and builds a real cluster from the ground up. It's equally suited to DBAs preparing for RAC-focused interviews or about to take on a clustered estate at work.

What learners say

★★★★★

I had tried to learn RAC twice from documentation and given up both times. Following along to build a real two-node cluster — Grid Infrastructure, ASM, SCAN, all of it — finally made it click. I cleared a RAC interview a month later.

The troubleshooting lessons are the real gold. Watching a node eviction and an interconnect failure get recovered step by step is exactly what came up in my production environment a few weeks later. Being able to rewatch in the portal was a lifesaver.

Patching the cluster with opatchauto and the rolling upgrade walkthrough gave me the confidence to own RAC patching at work. At ₹3,000 with lifetime access, this is the best value DBA course I've bought.

Purchase & access

How do I get access after I pay?
As soon as your Razorpay payment is confirmed, your secure student portal account is created automatically and the Oracle RAC course is unlocked. You can start streaming within minutes — message us on WhatsApp if you need any help logging in.
Is it lifetime access?
Yes. Buy once and your access never expires. Rewatch every lesson as many times as you need — including years later when you're prepping for an interview or hit a new production scenario.
Can I watch on mobile?
Yes. The course streams in HD on mobile, desktop and tablet inside your portal, so you can learn on your laptop at home and revise on your phone during a commute.
Can I download the videos?
No — and that's by design. Lessons are streamed securely inside your student portal rather than being downloadable, which keeps the training protected for every student. You can still watch on any device, any number of times, for life.
What payment methods do you accept?
All payments are handled securely through Razorpay — UPI, credit and debit cards, and netbanking. Prices are in INR and the ₹3,000 shown is the final amount.
Do I get a certificate?
Recorded courses don't include a completion certificate — they're self-paced, so there's no fair way to verify who has genuinely worked through every session. Our live training batches do include a course-completion certificate. What you get with every recorded course: lifetime streaming access, notes & scripts, assignments and WhatsApp support.
What is the refund policy?
Please review our refund policy for full details before you buy. If you're unsure whether this course is right for you, message us on WhatsApp first and we'll help you decide.

About the course

Is it live or recorded?
This is a fully recorded, self-paced course you can start the moment you enroll. If you'd prefer live instructor-led weekend batches taught by our senior Oracle DBA instructors, see our live courses instead.
Do I need prior experience?
No prior RAC experience is needed — the course starts from architecture and cache fusion and builds a real cluster from scratch. You should already be comfortable with single-instance Oracle administration (instances, storage, RMAN), which makes the clustering concepts much easier to absorb.
Is support included?
Yes. You get WhatsApp mentorship support while you work through the course — ask our team your questions on +91 81691 58909 or email support@dbnexus.co.in.
